ABOUT THE FUND

Created by FIFA and Global Citizen, this fund operates on one core belief: when children can learn and play, they thrive.

WHY THIS MATTERS:

- 350 million children worldwide are out of school
- 133 million don't meet basic reading and math proficiency by the end of primary school
- Education + sport = a powerful combination for building knowledge, confidence, and life skills

The Fund connects education, sport, culture, and philanthropy to support local organizations that understand their communities best. By investing in community-led solutions, the Fund creates lasting change that grows from within.

Part of a larger initiative, the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund also supports FIFA's Football for Schools (F4S) program, a joint FIFA-UNESCO project advancing life skills and community development through football.
